Can The Aberdeen Law Project help?

The Aberdeen Law Project ("ALP") Representation Team are trained to undertake legal research, write letters, provide legal opinions, negotiate settlements and, if necessary, appear in Court or Tribunal.

If you initiate proceedings before reaching out, it may be too late for us to help. If you are considering contacting us, please do so as soon as possible.

Our team are typically able to advise and represent across the following areas of law:

Housing - rent issues, deposit retention, claims for damages, maintenance and unfair eviction.

Consumer - faulty products, payment retention and breach of contract.

Employment - unfair and constructive dismissal, failure to make reasonable adjustments, discrimination, and holiday pay / pay disputes.

Please note: If you have already submitted an ET1 form we likely cannot assist. If you are looking to commence an employment case, please contact us as early in the process as possible.

There are some areas where ALP cannot provide assistance. These are as follows:

  • Immigration Law

  • Family Law

  • Criminal Law

  • Debt Law

  • If you are eligible for legal aid

  • If you have the means to pay for a lawyer, or there is (in our view) another organisation that can assist.

Nevertheless, contacting us is never a waste of time. If we are unable to act on your behalf, we will endeavour to recommend another organisation that may be able to assist you.

Our preferred form of communication is via email. Our email is:
representation@abdnlawproject.com.

Our phone number is 01224 272 434.

How much do our services cost?

The services we provide are free. You will not pay for our time or our costs. However, you may be required to pay unavoidable legal expenses, such as the cost of initiating legal proceedings.
