One of The Aberdeen Law Project's very own students, Anna Robertson, today appeared before the Scottish Parliament’s Petitions Committee as a witness and supporter of the petition proposed by Peter Morris.
The petition, which calls upon the Scottish Government to provide greater support to victims of crime, has been continued and the Committee have resolved to write to the Government and other bodies in relation to it. A report prepared by members of The Aberdeen Law Project, some of whom assisted in collecting over 6,000 signatures for the petition, will be concluded and sent to relevant persons shortly.
The proceedings before the Petitions Committee may be viewed here, the relevant start time being 28 mins and 48 seconds.
