Congratulations to our very own Student Director, Martyna Proczek, for being shortlisted for ‘Best contribution by an individual student’ for the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Awards 2019.
Over the past year, Martyna has successfully led the roll out of our Language Barrier Initiative (LBI), allowing us to reach thousands of people who would otherwise be unable to access free legal assistance. She has also been instrumental in establishing our partnership with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Our SSSC link, the first of its kind, provides eligible social service workers in Scotland whose fitness to practise is under investigation with access to free advice and representation.
Jonathan Goodyear, Deputy Student Director, said: “I’m delighted that Martyna’s been shortlisted for the LawWorks and Attorney General Student Awards 2019.
Martyna’s talent, drive and passion for pro bono work are some of the Aberdeen Law Project’s best assets and I, along with the whole Project, wish her the best of luck at the awards night!”
