We are delighted to confirm the appointment of two new Deputy Student Directors, Jamie Grainger and Emma Jamieson.
Jamie Grainger and Emma Jamieson, both second-year students, stood out in what was a very competitive application process by demonstrating great energy and initiative. We are looking forward to seeing what they achieve in the coming months.
Anna Robertson, Chair of the ALP Board, said: “We are thrilled to appoint Jamie and Emma as our new Deputy Student Directors. The applicants were strong and as always it is a reminder of how so many members of ALP contribute so much and care so deeply about the justice and community issues that the North East face. I am confident Emma and Jamie will continue in Victorie-Anne and Helena’s footsteps along with all our other members on putting our stamp on the community, listening and working with our communities to develop solutions.”
Jamie Grainger said: "I am delighted to have been entrusted with this role. Having previously been a Student Adviser on the Representation team, I am aware of the positive impact the services of the Aberdeen Law Project have had on the community in improving access to justice. I very much look forward to continuing this vital work with the rest of the team."
Emma Jamieson said: "I am extremely privileged to be appointed to the position of Deputy Student Director. I hope to further develop the incredible work of the Aberdeen Law Project in reducing the issue of access to justice in our community."
ALP is grateful for continuing financial support from the University of Aberdeen Development Trust.
