The Aberdeen Law Project (“ALP”) has been able to secure a full loan reimbursement for one of their clients through a successful Simple Procedure application to the Sheriff Court.
Prior to ALP’s engagement in the matter, the client had entered into a personal loan agreement with another individual who later failed to repay the client for the loan. Lead advisor Catriona Dee and the team at ALP applied to the Sheriff Court on behalf of the client after all attempts to amicably retrieve the sum of money owed were unsuccessful. Catriona successfully argued that the client’s loan agreement entitled the client to a full reimbursement and secured a four-figure sum for the client plus court expenses.
The client said: “Catriona has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. I came to Aberdeen Law project with an issue where I was owed money; I was unsure of what steps I had to take and I was completely overwhelmed by the situation.
“Catriona is an excellent communicator; she laid it out so it was easy to understand, talked me through every detail and kept me up to date as we went through the process.
“I am delighted that we had a positive outcome and I would highly recommend them. Thank you so much for all your help and answering every little question I had, I am truly grateful”.
Catriona said: “When the Aberdeen Law Project was approached about this case, I knew it was something we could assist with. The process was challenging, but I am delighted with the results. To secure a positive result and take some of the pressure off our client was a great achievement for the team”.
