Martyn Ross, a much loved member of the Aberdeen Law Project family, has passed away at the age of 25. He will be very sorely missed.
From the moment Martyn joined the project it was clear that he was talented, dedicated and full of heart. Nobody was surprised when those qualities were recognised and he was promoted to Head of Representation in 2013.
Martyn truly excelled in his role as Head of Rep, helping and inspiring those around him to secure great results for clients across the North East. The team who had the pleasure of being under Martyn’s wing recall his continual support, and how hard he worked to help ALP’s clients. Nothing was too much trouble for Martyn. He truly, passionately, cared about colleagues and clients alike.
What everyone came to quickly appreciate about Martyn was that he was a great lawyer but an even better person. As one of Martyn’s peers noted recently, Martyn had a presence about him which made you feel at ease and you quickly got to know his quick smile and ever ready wit - he was a great guy.
Martyn’s warmth and tremendous sense of humour, as well as the help and support that he gave to many, will never be forgotten by those of us fortunate enough to have known him.
Until we meet again our friend,
The Aberdeen Law Project
