Robyn is to lead the Aberdeen Law Project’s sister operations in the Highlands, Islands, Tayside and Perthshire (“Hilaw” and “Tayper”). Robyn has been involved in both projects since their inception and brings with her a good deal of experience.

Anna Robertson, commented on behalf of the Board: “I am proud to see that those involved in the Aberdeen Law Project have continued to be ambitious, remained creative and stayed true to the founding principle of the Aberdeen Law Project “to try and help bridge the justice gap” wherever it is found.

“With that in mind I am thrilled that Robyn will take on the role as Student Director of our new sister operations in the Highlands, Islands, Tayside and Perthshire. Robyn has shown her commitment, work ethic and ability over the years and we look forward to seeing the difference that can be made in these areas with her at the helm.”

Robyn Canning said: “Joining the Aberdeen Law Project in my second year of law has been a wonderful experience, being deputy student director over the past two years has exposed me to many fantastic opportunities to work closely with the community in Aberdeen and to collaborate with my many talented peers. I am honoured and very excited to be leading Hilaw and Tayper and I will work hard to ensure that the projects go from strength to strength.”

Jonathan Goodyear, former Student Director and board member, said: “Robyn brings a great deal of talent and creativity to Hilaw and Tayper. Having worked with Robyn throughout my time in the Aberdeen Law Project, I know how passionate she is about bridging the access to justice gap and getting involved in the community. I very much look forward to tracking what I have no doubt will be a long list of successes in the weeks and months to come.”
